Baseball Card of the Week:
This might be the most badass card I’ve ever come across; the mustache, the glasses, the “I just don’t care” stance. Lansford picked up a silver slugger, All-Star appearance and World Series title during his career which are pretty nice things to have in one’s collection.
But the very best part, as I learned but did not verify thanks to Wikipedia, is that Lansford received a cameo as the last batter struck out by Tony Danza in the film Angels in the Outfield. Awesome.
