Best play-by-play man I’ve heard, in any sport. When Nadel calls a game, he gives you more information than is available on the TV broadcast. Defensive positioning, pitch type and speed, and the scoring of the previous play (yes, I keep score). He keeps it simple, avoiding grandiose language and hyberbole. He never talks down to his audience. He’s not shy about pointing out an awful play — he’s never demeaning, just honest. The end result is a clear picture of what’s happening on the field, guided by a love for and respect of the game, and the people both inside and outside the game. A true professional and a worthy role model.
